Hi my cat pees out of his litter box what may be the reason!! I don't understand

Hi Fathima! This could be due to various reasons. Was this a sudden change in behaviour? Was he litter trained or is he a young kitten recently introduced to a litter box? Have you changed litters or moved the position of the litter box? Does he cry out while peeing (which could be a sign of a urinary tract infection)? If this continues on for long, it would be best to get a check up done.
